¿Qué es Text4baby?

¿Cómo funciona text4baby?

La registración es fácil y se puede hacer (a través del internet) o desde su celular. Al enviar la palabra BEBE (o BABY en ingles) al número 511411.  Le pediremos que nos de la fecha prevista de su parto o la fecha de nacimiento de su bebé y su código postal. Una vez este registrada(o), usted empezara a recibir mensajes gratuitos con consejos para su embarazo y el cuidado de su bebe.

Estos mensajes están programados de acuerdo a la fecha prevista de su parto o al cumpleaños de su bebé. Si usted está embarazada y la fecha prevista de su parto cambia, envié la palabra ACTUALIZAR al 511411 para colocar la nueva fecha prevista de su parto.  Una vez que usted haya tenido a su bebe envíenos un mensaje con la palabra ACTUALIZAR y la fecha de cumpleaños de su bebé así puede recibir los mensajes durante el primer año de vida de su bebé.

Si usted desea cancelar su subscripción de text4baby, envié la palabra ALTO al 511411 y textea AYUDA para recibir ayuda.  Para empezar a recibir mensajes otra vez, usted tendrá que volver a inscribirse enviando la palabra BEBE (o BABY para recibir los mensajes en ingles) al 511411.

Frecuencia de Mensajes: Usted recibirá tres mensajes de texto por semana sin ningún costo.

Acerca de Text4baby

A pesar de décadas de iniciativas de salud pública y de programas educativos, mas de 500,000 bebes nacen prematuramente y está estimado que 28,000 niños mueren antes de su primer cumpleaños cada año en los EEUU.  Muchos factores causan estos resultados negativos, incluyendo acceso a cuidado de salud, pobreza, comportamientos negativos de salud, pero los estudios apoyan  la idea que incrementar la sabiduría alrededor de salud te puede ayudar a las personas mantenerse saludables.

Para ayudar a más mujeres embarazadas y nuevas mamas obtener información acerca de su cuidado y del cuidado de sus bebes. La Coalición Nacional de Mamas Saludables, Bebes Saludables (HMHB – según sus siglas en Ingles) lanzo text4baby, el primer servicio en los EEUU de mensajes de texto en el ámbito de salud.  Text4baby apoya a las mamas al enviarles información y recursos en un formato que es personal y a tiempo, utilizando un medio que ella conoce y utiliza.  Más de 85% de los estadounidenses son dueños de un celular y 72% de aquellos que utilizan su celular envían y reciben mensajes de texto.

How it Works

Signing up for Text4baby is easy and just takes a few minutes. Follow these easy steps, or you can sign up online.

 

  1. Text BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411.
  2. When prompted, enter your due date and zip code.
  3. That's it! Now tell your friends and family!
You can cancel the service at any time by texting STOP or HELP for technical assistance. Text UPDATE to change your due date or baby's birthday.
 
Set Up Free Appointment Reminders with Text4baby
 
  1. Text REMIND (or CITA for Spanish) to 511411.
  2. Enter appointment date. Enter 7/7/2014 as 07072014.
  3. Enter appointment description with time, place and purpose (ex. 3pm apt w Dr Parker).
  4. Reminder text will be sent three days before and the morning of appointment.
  5. You can set up as many reminders as you need, at any time.
