BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, the company with the nation's largest and most reliable wireless voice and 3G data network, said today that it is participating in text4baby – a new, free mobile information service providing timely health information to pregnant women and new moms through a baby's first year.
A D.C.-based mobile technology firm is behind a new government effort to educate and encourage healthy habits in pregnant women.
A new campaign plans to use text messages to reach mothers-to-be across the country. The "text4baby" campaign for expectant mothers is being announced today.
The new service, announced by U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra at a health technology conference in Washington, D.C., aims to use one of the most widely used technologies in America-the mobile phone-to promote maternal and child health.
