Hi, I'm Sherri Shepherd. You probably know me best as a co-host on "The View." More importantly, I'm a mom.

I talk to a lot of moms and I'll tell you what - we all want the best for our babies.

But each year more than a half million babies are born prematurely, and this can lead to serious health problems. The good news is that, now, if you're pregnant or a new mom, you can get easy access to information to keep your baby healthy.

It's through a free service called text4baby. Pregnant women and new moms get timely, expert health tips sent directly to their cell phones. The tips will help you care for your new child in each important phase of early development.

Text4baby is a free mobile information service designed to promote maternal and child health. An educational program of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB), text4baby provides pregnant women and new moms with information that they need to take care of their health and give their babies the best possible start in life. Women who sign up for the service by texting BABY to 511411(or BEBE for Spanish) will receive free SMS text messages each week, timed to their due date or baby’s date of birth. Text4baby is made possible through a broad, public-private partnership that includes government and tribal agencies, corporations, academic institutions, professional associations and non-profit organizations.
