Text4baby 2012 Fall Sign-Up Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase of a product or service from the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition will not improve the chance of winning. Void where prohibited. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Participation requires mobile phone access.
CAN I PARTICIPATE? To participate in the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition’s “Text4baby Fall Sign-up Contest” you must:
- Be age 18 or older
- Have access to a mobile phone
- Employees of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition and Voxiva, Inc. are not eligible to win.
CONTEST PERIOD. The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition “Text4baby Fall Sign-up Contest” will be accepting entries starting at or about 12:00:01 AM (EST) on September 1, 2012 and ending at 11:59:59 PM (EST) September 30th, 2012 (The "Contest Period"). All entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM (EST) September 30th, 2012.
HOW DO I ENTER? You may enter online, on a mobile phone, or through the text4baby Facebook page. Submitting an entry constitutes agreeing to the terms of these Official Rules and all decisions of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, which are final and binding in all respects. The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete entry of information. Each submission of an Entry Form shall constitute an entry ("Entry").
HOW DO I WIN? The text4baby system will collect a record, at 11:59:59pm EST on September 30, 2012, of all contestants who successfully enrolled in text4baby between September 1 and September 30, 2012 who are still active as of contest end. Contestants do not receive credit already being enrolled in the system prior to the contest start on September 1, 2012. Text4baby staff will randomly select three (3) winners and will send a follow-up via text to the winners with instructions to call text4baby staff within 48 hours. Additional enrollees will be selected until 3 winners have connected with text4baby staff and provided full contact information. Contest winners will be featured in text4baby communications, including social media, text4baby.org, and Text4baby Tuesday.
ENTRY FORM REQUIREMENTS. Entry Form requires a valid phone number for working cell phone and complete enrollment in the text4baby service.
CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ENTRIES. By submitting an entry (or accepting any prize), each Contestant understands and agrees that their name may be posted online to www.text4baby.org without further compensation.
WHAT CAN I WIN? Three (3) winners will receive a one year supply of Johnson's Baby products (roughly equal to one product per month). Prizes will be mailed to the winners on or before November 15, 2012. Winners are responsible for the reporting and payment of all federal, state, and local taxes incurred by the acceptance of the prize. The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition is not responsible for any costs associated with accepting or otherwise using the prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition and its agents to use winner's name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
VERIFICATION OF FINALISTS AND USE OF NAME AND LIKENESS: Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Winners agree to the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition’s use of his/her name, likeness, and testimonials regarding the text4baby program for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law.
GENERAL: This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of Virginia, U.S.A. without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the state of Virginia or any other jurisdiction), that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of Virginia. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the state of Virginia. The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition is not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise.
The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition’s disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing, posting, uploading or downloading information in connection with, this Contest, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest should any virus, bug, technical failures, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition’s reasonable control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted on the Contest Site and the winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant from this Contest or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition or any of their affiliates if the entrant's fraud or misconduct adversely affects the integrity of the Contest. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Contest. By accepting an award, winner agrees to release the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, their directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, their advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of the award or participation in any ward-related activities.
PRIVACY POLICY: The Text4baby Fall Sign-up Contest adheres to the Text4baby Privacy Policy set forth here. Contestants will not receive confirmation of active enrollment in text4baby. No personal information about text4baby users will be shared as a part of this Contest.
