Healthy Moms Choose Text4baby for Valuable Health Information
 

WASHINGTON (May 1, 2013) – Moms do it all, but the most important thing for any mother is to keep themselves and their family healthy. In order to navigate the huge amount of information available on pregnancy and infants, moms can use some guidance. In honor of Mother’s Day and National Women’s Health Week, text4baby and mom ambassadors are highlighting the free service to help moms get important information that leads to better health. 

 

If you’re pregnant or have a baby under age one, text BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411 to receive FREE text messages about health and safety from text4baby. You’ll receive three personalized text messages each week throughout pregnancy and up until baby’s first birthday. Information includes labor signs and symptoms, prenatal care, urgent alerts, developmental milestones, immunizations, nutrition, birth defects prevention, safe sleep, safety, and more.

 

Dr. J. Nwando Olayiwola is one text4baby mom who juggles family life and being a doctor. She spends so much time caring for her children and patients, that it can become easy to forget her own health. While pregnant with her second child, Dr. Olayiwola signed up for text4baby and received customized messages that helped her make healthy choices for herself and her baby.
