Michigan Primary Care Association
The Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA) promoted text4baby and its partnership with CMS' Connecting Kids to Coverage Initiative in March 2012 by hosting a table with information on both programs at the West Michigan Women's Expo in Grand Rapids. Over 17,400 women attended the event, which this year focused on health, home, and style.
In addition to providing information on text4baby, MPCA staff showed attendees how to enroll in the program. They signed up nearly 30 new and expecting moms for text4baby on the spot! Through this effort, the Michigan Primary Care Association was able to connect mothers and families in Michigan to important resources, including information on text4baby and Medicaid and CHIP services.
